On July 25, as Vilnius celebrates St. Christopher’s Day, the patron saint of the city, residents and visitors are invited to the banks of the Neris River for the very first River Festival.
Stretching from the Vingis Park Bridge to the Žirmūnai Bridge, the riverside will come alive with a full day of music, outdoor activities, creativity, educational experiences, and waterside entertainment.
For centuries, the Neris has been one of Vilnius’ most important lifelines—a place where neighborhoods grew, city life unfolded, and people gathered. This summer, the river once again invites everyone to reconnect with it: to relax, explore, stay active, and experience the city from a fresh perspective.
Throughout the festival, various locations along the riverbanks will host a wide range of cultural, sports, and leisure activities, including:
One of the festival’s highlights will be the first-ever Red Bull Tandemynės competition in the Baltic States—an exciting and imaginative tandem bicycle event on the water, where teams will compete not only in speed but also in creativity and style.
Location: Neris riverbanks from Vingis Park Bridge to Žirmūnai Bridge
The full programme will be announced soon. Stay tuned and start planning your day by the river.
