EGLĖ RIDIKAITĖ, exhibition DEPOSITIONS at St. George the Martyr Church

We invite you to visit “Depositions” (“Nuėmimai”), a new exhibition by artist and National Prize laureate Eglė Ridikaitė, presented in the historic setting of St. George’s Church (Šv. Jurgio bažnyčia) in Vilnius.

This space, closed to the public for nearly 80 years, is being opened to visitors for the first time.

Through a distinctive artistic gesture, Ridikaitė’s exhibition brings together different places of worship, painful historical experiences, and a contemporary sense of vulnerability. 🔸“Depositions” unfolds as a quiet yet conceptually rich narrative about the city, simultaneously revealing layers of pre-war Jewish and Christian Vilnius. The exhibition explores themes of survival and disappearance, traces of former lives, and the processes of memory and forgetting.

Venue: St. George’s Church, Vilnius (entrance via K. Sirvydo St. 4, through the historic gates).
