Vilnius City Pool Cup 2026 – Pool for Everyone. Divisions for Players with Disabilities
Vilnius continues its new city sports initiative, the Vilnius City Pool Cup 2026—a year-round tournament series bringing together players from different categories.
One of the key stages of the project is dedicated to players with disabilities. Its purpose is to provide equal opportunities to participate in organised sport, encourage an active lifestyle, support sporting development, and strengthen an inclusive billiards community.
Pool is much more than a game. It is a sport that develops concentration, strategic thinking, precision, emotional control, and self-confidence. The tournament welcomes people with an officially recognised disability status.
The competition will be held in two separate divisions:
- Saturday, 15 August 2026 – Wheelchair Players Division.
- Sunday, 16 August 2026 – Ambulatory Players with Disabilities Division.
The Ambulatory Players with Disabilities Division is also open to participants with hearing impairments and other participants with an officially recognised disability status who meet the tournament’s general eligibility requirements.
Both experienced players and newcomers are welcome. The tournament is organised in accordance with the principles of equal opportunity, respect, and inclusion. Where necessary, essential tournament information will also be provided visually for participants with hearing impairments.
Matches will be played according to the current rules of the World Pool Association (WPA) and the Lithuanian Billiards Federation. The best players from each division will qualify for the final stage of the Vilnius City Pool Cup 2026 season.
