On the evening of August 22, the space of Lukiškių Prison will be filled with two different yet emotionally connected musical worlds.
This is “Juodvarnis” and “Abii”. The bands meet on stage like two directions of the same mood — one rising from the darkness and introspection of metal, the other from an alternative sound pulsing with layers of electronic music and emotional tension. Both groups explore melancholy, inner states, and the human relationship with the surrounding world, but in different languages.
The bands promise that on the Lukiškių Prison stage, heaviness and fragility, noise and silence, external sound and inner experience will meet.
“Abii” is an electronic rock duo from Lithuania’s coastal region, formed by two close friends, Andrius and Tautvydas, who have been developing their shared creative vision for almost a decade.
Their musical journey began with a win at the young bands competition “Garažas”, followed by their debut album “Vinegar”. After a short pause, they returned with “Metanoiia”, marking a darker, stronger, and more mature sound.
Now, “Abii” return to the main stage of Lukiškių Prison with a fully developed album, performed live with the intensity, sensitivity, and authenticity their music demands.
These representatives of heavy music are widely regarded as one of the leading acts in the genre. With “Juodvarnis,” audiences have already experienced an acoustic set in St. Nicholas Church — now it’s time to see what they bring to the main stage.
Active for over a decade, “Juodvarnis” have released three albums and toured not only Lithuania but also Europe. Their achievements include performances at major alternative festivals in Lithuania and the legendary Wacken Open Air in Germany.
In January, the band released their fourth album “Tékmés”. With its new material, “Juodvarnis” promises to guide listeners through the darkest and brightest corners of the soul.
