With Love Every Hour

On April 6, 2026, the Vilnius carillon in the bell tower of the Dominican Church (Church of St. Philip and St. James) will begin sounding hourly melodies dedicated to the theme of love. From 9:00 to 21:00, the chimes of the city clock will be accompanied by short musical motifs, creating a daily sound rhythm of Vilnius – subtle, yet constantly returning.

The project With Love Every Hour was created by artist and director of the Vilnius Carillon Festival, Jurgis Pauliukas, together with Japanese carillonneur Toru Takao. Each hour has its own title and atmosphere – from gratitude in the morning to quietness in the evening, from personal reflection to urban and sacred motifs.

Each hour carries its own name and mood – “Thank You for a New Morning,” “God, Bless Our Day,” “With Love in Vilnius.”

This sound cycle invites residents and visitors of Vilnius to pause, listen, and experience the city through time and resonance – with love, every hour.
