The work of a cinematographer often remains behind the scenes. Audiences usually know the actors and directors, but the people responsible for a film’s visual language, atmosphere, and imagery rarely receive the same recognition. This year, the Lietuvos kino operatorių asociacija (LAC) aims to change that.
During a single screening, viewers will see seven short films nominated for the “Ąžuolas 2026” awards. Immediately afterward, the audience will have an opportunity to hear directly from the nominees in a discussion about filmmaking, cinematography, and the challenges of working behind the camera. The conversation will be moderated by Aistė Račaitytė.
