Award-winner of the prestigious European title “EFFE Laureate” (which is granted only to the best European festivals) the GAIDA festival is the main and largest forum for contemporary music in Lithuania and the Baltic States. The festival, which has been held annually in Vilnius since 1991, is recognized as one of the most prominent music events in Europe and probably the most important festival presenting contemporary music in this part of the world.
