In the summer, the ongoing concert series “The Sounding Čiurlionis Vilnius” returns to the M. K. Čiurlionis House.
Joris Mikužis studied at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts from 2021 and, since 2025, continues his studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre under Prof. Aleksandra Žvirblytė. Since 2023, he has been a scholarship holder of the Mstislav Rostropovich Charity and Support Fund “Support for Lithuanian Children,” and in 2025 he received the Raimonda Apeikytė Scholarship.
He is a laureate of numerous competitions: in 2023 he won 2nd prize at the “Lisztofonija-IV” piano competition, and the main prize “Golden Parnassus” at the international piano forum “Bieszczady bez granic” in Poland. In 2024, he was awarded the Small St. Christopher’s Badge for his contribution to culture in Vilnius and Lithuania. He has also distinguished himself in composition competitions, winning 1st prize at the XIV National Student Music Composition Competition “Mano nata.”
Mikužis has performed at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic, Paliesius Manor, Klaipėda Concert Hall, and Palais Liechtenau in Potsdam. He has participated in international festivals including the Vilnius Piano Festival, Wanda Landowska Festival in Italy, Opus Piano Festival in Denmark, and the Lithuania Season in France. He has performed with the Warsaw National Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, and the symphony orchestra of the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts.
