Arklio Galia x Sraigės Efektas

A tested, tried, and for some reason successful duo. On July 16, “Arklio Galia” and “Sraigės efektas” return to the main stage of Lukiškės Prison.

We know both bands well—and genuinely like them. So when we strongly recommend not missing this summer concert, there are more than a few reasons behind it.

The band is known for blending absurd, somewhat unappetizing musical cocktails, seasoned with possibly the worst imaginable lyrics, overly long guitar solos, and plenty of bad jokes between songs.

With such a biography and reputation, they still keep playing—and this year they celebrate their 20th anniversary. That’s twenty times “valio!”

We’ll meet “Arklio Galia” on stage for the sixth time. Last year they performed acoustically in St. Nicholas Church, but this year they return where they belong—on a large open-air stage, together with the equally fitting “Sraigės efektas”.

As the band says:

“It’s great that such a smart band like ‘Sraigės efektas’ lets in such an ‘un-smart’ band as ‘Arklio Galia’. We create a strange but functioning concert organism, and the fans have never fought each other yet.”

Undoubtedly one of the most intellectual bands in Lithuanian alternative music and a key player on the scene. They recently reinforced that status with their fifth studio album “Lobomatas”.

It’s what happens when you release into the world exactly the kind of music you’d want to listen to every day yourself. We will witness the beginning of a fresh and sonically bold new chapter for the band.

Sharing the stage with “Arklio Galia” promises an unpredictable evening full of value and surprises.

As the band adds:

“It’s easy to become too serious in life. For us, ‘Arklio Galia’ is that friend who brings you back to reality and reminds you that head-on irony toward this absurd world is sometimes the best lobomatas. Two great bands, a great space, and the right time. It will be good.”
