One of the Baltic blues scene’s brightest names comes to Vingis Park – Aleksandr Belkin & The Road Band.
Experience an evening of outstanding live blues as Aleksandr Belkin (vocals, guitar, harmonica) takes the stage with The Road Band.
Aleksandr is the band’s founder, frontman, and the songwriter behind most of its original material. A graduate of the Vilnius Conservatory, he began his blues career with Hilda Blues Band, Lithuania’s first blues group. Over the decades, he has performed more than 1,000 concerts, released two solo albums—Real Love and Black Papa—and toured in Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, Israel, and beyond.
He has shared the stage with internationally acclaimed blues artists including Keb’ Mo’, Kenny Neal, and Larry Garner. In 2003, he received the prestigious Golden String Award at the Bliuzo Naktys (Blues Nights) festival, and his name has been listed among the world’s leading harmonica players.
Founded in Vilnius in 1992, The Road Band has performed over 3,000 concerts in Lithuania and abroad during its three-decade career. The band has released 13 albums, and its achievements have been recognized in the publication Who’s Who in Vilnius County 2003. Their repertoire features both classic and original Rhythm & Blues, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Jazz, and Country compositions.
