On July 13, Vilnius will welcome one of the most distinctive voices of the contemporary French music scene. Imany, a singer and songwriter of Franco-Comorian origin, has, over more than a decade, earned a singular place internationally with her deep, luminous timbre and music pulsing with inner strength. Her artistic path has been shaped by experiences across cultures — from a brief chapter in the fashion world in New York to a return to Paris, where her unique musical language took form.

In Vilnius, the artist will present her latest album, Women Deserve Rage — a work born from a personal need to reclaim her voice and inner truth. It is music about freedom, identity, and the right to feel, even when society is inclined to silence those emotions. On stage, she will be joined by a six-piece band, with brass, rhythm section, and keys creating a vibrant, pulsating musical landscape.

Over the years, Imany has become one of the most compelling artists on the global scene, blending soul, folk, and pop aesthetics. From her debut album The Shape of a Broken Heart to the global hit Don’t Be So Shy, her music expands the boundaries between genres and audiences. A significant creative turning point came with the Voodoo Cello project, where her voice intertwined with an ensemble of eight cellos — a project that evolved into a worldwide tour of more than 100 concerts.

Imany shares a long-standing connection with Lithuanian audiences, and her performance in the extraordinary setting of the Grand Courtyard of the Palace of the Grand Dukes — one of Vilnius’ most beautiful summer concert venues — promises an evening where not only the new album will be heard, but also everything that makes her presence on stage so powerful: her voice, her inner strength, and a genuine connection with the audience.
