VILNIUS/LVIV INTERLINKED

Vilnius / Lviv interlinked is a live sound performance that brings together the sonic landscapes of Vilnius and Lviv into a unified work of experimental music. Field recordings made by composer Dominykas Digimas are layered with electronics and improvisations by the members of the ensemble “Bottlenecks”.

The audience is guided through an imagined landscape of two cities. The shifting layers of sound reflect the identities of Vilnius and Lviv, their histories and contemporary tensions.

The project is presented in the Railway Park Hangar, whose industrial setting becomes an integral part of the work, reinforcing themes of movement, transit and sonic intersections.

The performance is further complemented by readings of Ukrainian poetry by Andrius Merkevičius.

Founded in 2024, the ensemble “Bottlenecks” is actively engaged in the field of contemporary music across Lithuania and Europe, collaborating with artists from different disciplines and developing new forms of experimental music.
