About event

“I would like to compose a symphony from the sound of waves, from the mysterious language of a centuries-old forest, from the twinkling of stars…” M. K. Čiurlionis

In the very heart of Vilnius Old Town, at the Lithuanian Artists’ Association, Vokiečių St. 4, a dreamlike world of M. K. Čiurlionis will unfold for one evening – a world filled with music, imagery, nature, and silence.

Pianist Darius Mažintas will perform a piano arrangement of M. K. Čiurlionis’ symphonic poem “In the Forest”, along with several of the composer’s preludes. The music will become a path leading deeper within – to a place where sound merges with memory and silence takes on its own colour.

Joining him on stage will be renowned visual artist Rimas Sakalauskas. His video installation will be created in real time, following the flow and rhythm of the music. Motifs from M. K. Čiurlionis’ paintings will shift, move and come alive, creating a space where the boundaries between music and image, reality and dream begin to dissolve.

This is not a traditional concert, but a 60-minute immersive experience – an invitation to pause, listen, and enter the forest. Into the silence of M. K. Čiurlionis. And perhaps, into yourself.

Only two evenings in Vilnius. Limited to just 50 guests each.
