A concert for the whole family about the boy Jascha Heifetz, who was born in Vilnius and began his extraordinary journey into the world of music here.

In this musical narrative, actor Giedrius Arbačiauskas, violinist Dalia Dėdinskaitė, and guitarist Chris Ruebens invite children, youth, and families to discover one of the most brilliant global musical figures originating from Lithuania — the violin genius Jascha Heifetz.

Little Jascha started playing the violin in his early childhood. From Vilnius, his talent spread across the entire world, and his name is still mentioned alongside the greatest musical legends of the 20th century. His musical path was also closely linked to another prominent Litvak creator — composer and violinist Joseph Achron. Heifetz performed and popularized Achron’s music, and their artistic connection became a vital part of the Litvak musical heritage.

The year 2026 marks the 125th anniversary of Jascha Heifetz’s birth and the 140th anniversary of Joseph Achron’s birth, making this concert a perfect occasion to rediscover their stories — close, inspiring, and connected to Lithuania.

The event will intertwine music, live storytelling, and an imagination-stirring journey into the world of the boy who started his musical path in Vilnius. It is a concert meant not only for listening but also for learning — about the city, the talent, the history, and the personalities whose names became an integral part of world musical culture.
