What is the most beautiful love story? No, it is not Romeo and Juliet. It is the love story between Lithuanians and cold pink soup, aka šaltibarščiai.
Just imagine… pink, cold, and creamy… But it’s not just soup; it’s a lifestyle!
Open the summer season on June 10 at the most refreshing festival, the Pink Soup Fest! Let’s make Vilnius pink!
At the free event, various entertainments await the participants:
– In the central event space from the top of the Barbakan Hill there will be a slip and slide down into the artificial bowl of cold beetroot soup.
– There will be a best-dressed competition for the greatest pink soup themed costume.
– There will also be a kids’ zone with trampolines and a relaxation area in Kudros Park.
– Let’s not forget the food carts selling šaltibarščiai and other delicacies in Tymas Market.
– Throughout the city, restaurants, bars, hotels, museums, tour organizers, and other entertainment providers will present their festive offerings as well.
– And the beetroot on top, in the evening a concert by Leon Somov will certainly make everyone dance.
