ŽOLINĖK – Celebrate Assumption Day Together!

ŽOLINĖK is an invitation to celebrate Assumption Day, a cherished Lithuanian tradition marking the height of summer and celebrating herbs, flowers and the harvest, and to discover its customs together with Gražina Kadžytė and Libertas Klimka.

On 15 August, join us for a day of festivities at the Vilnius University Botanical Garden in Kairėnai!

The programme will feature educational activities and guided tours, talks and exhibitions, activities at the sauna laboratory, fun for the whole family in the Children’s Meadow, as well as a fair showcasing herbalists and artists.

The ŽOLINĖK stage will come alive with live music throughout the day. Enjoy performances by the duo Milda Arčikauskaitė and Vaiva Dunaitytė, the band Mėlyna, and Alanas Chošnau with his band.
