The work is a continuation of their long-term project Metrika, a series of performed and documented situations that explore how memory, history, and institutional systems shape thought and identity.
The installation is structured as a series of staged performances that bring together:
At its core, the project treats archival material as if it had its own psyche — capable of remembering, desiring, and speaking.
A key part of the project, “Metrika Nr. 5, Interliudas”, is presented at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania. In this video work, psychotherapists engage in sessions with archival material stored in the library’s collections, surrounded by shelves of documents. The archive itself becomes a speaking, feeling subject.
On May 29 at 16:30, a presentation and discussion with the artists will take place in the atrium on the 5th floor of the National Library.
The installation will remain open to visitors until June 28.
