Meet in Rasos: Opening of Pelesos Square in Vilnius
In Vilnius we have a district with a particularly meaningful name – Rasos. It is a name that recalls one of the oldest Lithuanian midsummer traditions, associated with the summer solstice, herbs, fire, water, and community gatherings.
On June 29, we invite you to give new meaning to this name in the Rasos district – at the newly renovated Pelesos Square. Located just a few hundred meters from Vilnius Railway Station, between Pelesos and Liepkalnio streets, the renewed space will no longer be just a passageway but a place to pause. It now features new pathways, relaxation areas, children’s playgrounds, and sports zones.
This evening will bring together summer traditions, live music, educational activities, community spirit, and a newly revived urban space.
The program includes herb workshops, fresh bread, honey and cheese tastings, sports relays, and entertainment for children.
