This time, pianist Evgeny Wenger will perform. He studied at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media and at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin under Professors Arie Vardi and Gabriele Kupfernagel. His artistic development was also strongly influenced by encounters with pianist Luiz de Moura Castro and conductor Misha Katz.
E. Wenger is a prizewinner of numerous international piano competitions, including awards at the L. Janáček and G. Enescu competitions. As a soloist and orchestral performer, he has appeared in more than 25 countries and collaborated with conductors such as Misha Katz, Nicholas Carthy, Peter Altrichter, Emil Simon, and Igor Andrievsky.
In 2023, he released his first solo album “Dream to Fly”, featuring original piano compositions and jazz improvisations based on classical works. In 2025, his second album “Pianissimo” was released, dedicated to 19th-century Romantic piano miniatures.
Alongside his classical career, Wenger is also the founder and pianist of the Wenger Jazz Trio, which blends classical music with jazz and improvisation, creating a distinctive musical language.
