Skalvija Film Academy Student Screening Series │ Vilnius Creators

You’re invited to the second screening in the Skalvija Film Academy student series, titled “Vilnius Creators.”

The programme presents the early works of seven filmmakers who once studied at the Skalvija Film Academy. These films capture their first steps in cinema, united by a willingness to experiment with form, sound, and subject matter. Bold, imaginative, and deeply personal, they reflect the world through young eyes—works made with a creative freedom that often becomes harder to reclaim later in life.

The selection was curated by filmmaker Kristina Savickaitė, herself a former Skalvija Film Academy student.

The screening will take place on 20 July at 8:30 PM at the alternative cultural venue Utopija.

After the screening, join a discussion with several of the filmmakers featured in the programme. The conversation will be moderated by Adelė Gresiūtė and Aurora Degesytė, current students of the academy.

Everyone interested in films made by emerging young creators is warmly welcome.

All films will be screened with Lithuanian and English subtitles.

Admission is free.
