Jonas and his girlfriend Nina arrive at a secluded countryside house belonging to film director Rokas, where they are supposed to shoot a film. As they spend time together, the boundaries between work and personal life begin to disappear. Under the same roof, they cook, dance, go to the sauna and prepare for the film. As Nina’s relationship with director Rokas grows stronger, Jonas feels increasingly pushed aside. Tension rises as unspoken feelings drive the characters further apart.
19:25–21:00 | CHINESE SEA
Dir. Jurgis Matulevičius
Prod. Ieva Černiauskaitė, Stasys Baltakis
Martial arts champion Osvaldas (Marius Repšys) seriously injures a young woman in the street. Although he avoids a criminal sentence, he is expelled from the sports federation. Unable to accept that his career in the ring is over, Osvaldas spends his days at a cheap Asian restaurant called Chinese Sea, where its owner Ju-Longas (Jian Huang) gives him a place to stay.
During court-ordered group therapy sessions, Osvaldas meets Skaistė (Severija Janušauskaitė) and falls for her at first sight. But she is a pop singer married to a notorious mafia boss, Turistas (Vaidotas Martinaitis), whose associate Ju-Longas owes money.
Separate events suddenly become intertwined. Illegal business turns out to have entangled almost everyone around Osvaldas. Yet, seeing the world through the eyes of a hero, he struggles to recognise the distorted reality around him. Desperate to hold on to what he has, Osvaldas once again resorts to violence – this time deliberately.
