In Celebration of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis’ Birthday | Maxim Lando

Pianist Maxim Lando first made international headlines in 2017 when, at the age of 14, he performed at Carnegie Hall alongside renowned artists Lang Lang and Chick Corea and the Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The concert opened the door to performances with leading orchestras around the world.

In 2024, winning laureate status at the prestigious Cleveland International Piano Competition further established his reputation as one of the rising stars of the international piano scene. Lando has performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall, Frankfurt’s Alte Oper, the Louis Vuitton Foundation, Salle Cortot in Paris and many other renowned venues worldwide.

At the Lithuanian National Philharmonic, Lando will reveal his passion for chamber music and unconventional repertoire. Together with the Tytuvėnai Festival, the M. K. Čiurlionis House in Vilnius and the Lithuanian National Philharmonic, the pianist invites audiences to celebrate the birthday of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis with a programme featuring works by Čiurlionis, David Chesky, George Gershwin–Earl Wild, Robert Schumann and Franz Liszt.
