VILNIUS DUB CLUB: KALA SOUNDSYSTEM MEETS WOLDE EGZIABHER SOUND

A unique traveling club dedicated to soundsystem culture—the Vilnius Dub Club invites you to a classic meeting of two longest running soundsystem in Vilnius!

Kala Sound System and Wolde Egziabher met for the last—and likely only—time on the same dance floor under the White Bridge a good ten years ago. However, their friendship began much earlier: white elephants, green grass, dreadlocks, bass, dub, reggae, and dancehall were never foreign to either Kala or Wolde Egziabher.

Wolde Egziabher needs no introduction as a sound system that consistently delivers, drawing on Jamaican and UK influences, while Kala Sound System loves to wander along an unbeaten path. Nevertheless, Kala will prepare for its meeting with Wolde Egziabher at the Vilnius Dub Club by selecting its favorite and unforgettable music, perfectly suited to this occasion and setting.

The soundsystems will express its gratitude to its roots and culture by playing a curated selection of the best dub, reggae, jungle, dubstep, and dancehall tracks—including versions, newly discovered gems, and never-before-heard musical treasures!
