On November 12, the film evening series with director Audrius Stonys continues at the M. K. Čiurlionis House. This time, we will watch “Il Posto” (1961), a feature film by Italian director Ermanno Olmi.
“What does it mean to find your place in life – and how much of yourself do you have to give up to get it?
Filled with gentle humour and quiet emotion, this film tells the story of a young person stepping into the adult world. It is about a first job, awakening feelings and the hope of being accepted.
I invite you to discover together a cinema where a hesitant glance can sometimes say more than words,” says director Audrius Stonys.
After the screening, you are welcome to stay for a discussion.
Audrius Stonys is a film director, recipient of the Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Arts, and a member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which presents the Oscars.
The event is free of charge. No advance registration required.
