LITHUANIAN JEWISH GENOCIDE REMEMBRANCE DAY – OPEN DAY AT TUSKULĖNAI MEMORIAL

September 23 marks Lithuanian Jewish Genocide Remembrance Day. On this day, we remember the tragedy of Lithuania’s Jewish community – the hundreds of thousands of lives lost during the Holocaust. The day of remembrance reminds us how important it is to preserve the truth and testimonies about these painful events.

Tuskulėnai Manor also recalls brighter pages of history – during the Second World War, its last owners, the Antonovičiai family, hid and helped save Jews here.
