14th National Competition of Pupil Music Works “Mano nata”, dedicated to the 700th anniversary of Vilnius

3 June 2023, at 2 PM The 14th National Pupil Music Competition “Mano nata” will take place at the Great Hall of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. This year the competition is dedicated to the 700th anniversary of Vilnius. More than half of the submitted student works are dedicated to the history and today’s Vilnius; they not only give a sensitive and distinctive meaning to the city’s anniversary, but also open up the competition to the wider public. The works will be performed by the chamber ensemble Musica Humana of the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble, artistic director and conductor Robertas Beinaris. Twenty-two compositions by students aged 8-19 will be performed.
The event is part of the Vilnius 700 programme.
The event is organised by Mano nata, a public institution of the Lithuanian Composers’ Union. Partners: Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy, Lithuanian National Philharmonic, Lithuanian Music Information Centre, VoxArt culture portal, Association of Music and Art Schools Directors.
