XVI International St. James Festival Concert “On Wings of Songs”

The Šiauliai Boys’ and Youth Choir “Dagilėlis” returns to the St. James Festival once again. This evening’s programme, “On the Wings of Song”, presents a broad panorama of sacred choral music – from the masters of the Renaissance and Baroque to works by contemporary European composers exploring themes of peace, gratitude, and hope.

“Dagilėlis” is one of Lithuania’s most distinguished choral ensembles, having received top honours and Grand Prix awards at international competitions in Europe, the United States, and China, and representing Lithuanian choral culture in prestigious concert halls around the world.

The choir’s founder and long-time artistic director, Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Arts laureate Remigijus Adomaitis, together with concertmaster Daiva Šulcaitė, prepares programmes of the highest artistic calibre, bringing together deep spiritual traditions and contemporary performance aesthetics.
