BILL EVANS: ALONE | Vytautas Straižys

On the evening of September 25th, DOWNTOWN PIANO LAB invites you to an intimate solo piano concert dedicated to one of the most subtle and influential jazz pianists—Bill Evans.

Bill Evans’s music is distinguished by its exceptional sensitivity, harmonic depth, and a use of silence that becomes just as important as every note. His musical world is one of fragile melodies, unexpected harmonic turns, and tranquil improvisations that allow listeners to pause, if only for a moment, and turn inward.

Throughout the evening, virtuoso pianist Vytautas Straižys will perform some of Bill Evans’s most beloved works and compositions, capturing the essence of his unique style. Straižys is acclaimed by audiences for his expressive sound and his ability to transform every piece into a living story born in the very moment of performance.
