A ten-member ensemble of the new wave jazz that embraces 60s classics with rebellious youth, led by composer, arranger and alto saxophonist, Cassie Kinoshi. Young but sharp, innovative yet mindful of their roots. It’s inspiring music, full of diversity.
The ensemble’s piece Afronaut (feat. XANA), recorded on the band’s debut album, Driftglass, won the 2018 British Composers’ Award from Ivors Academy (then known as BASCA) for a Jazz Composition for Large Ensemble. In 2019, the album was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize.
Ill Considered (UK)
One of London’s hottest jazz phenomena. The trio straddles the divide between improvisation, jazz, electronica and world music. Since its establishment in 2017, Ill Considered has released as many as 13 albums that capture the masterly balance between feeling and reason, improvisation and structure.
The founder of the collective, drummer and producer Emre Ramazanogla, saxophonist and clarinettist Idris Rahman, and bassist Liran Donin are here to showcase how colourful and incredibly strong the London scene is these days.

The main stage of the 23rd Vilnius Mama Jazz festival, at the New Hall of the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre, will host six concerts over four days, featuring the well-known jazz masters and the latest jazz trendsetters.
