Concert of legendary actors of the Youth Theatre
About event
On November 8, 2026, at 18:00, the legendary voices of Youth Theatre actors will resound in St. Catherine’s Church. On stage will perform and sing Kristina Kazlauskaitė, Vidas Petkevičius, Violeta Podolskaitė, Saulius Sipaitis, Vytautas Taukinaitis, Regina Kazlauskaitė, Giedrius Arbačiauskas, and soprano Eglė Ignatavičienė. They will be accompanied by a rhythm group, which will also feature Živilė Keblikaitė (piano), multi-instrumentalist Rolandas Butkevičius, Živilė Mackevičiūtė (bass guitar), and Kamilė Griušytė (drums).

The evening will be hosted and curated by Kristina Kazlauskaitė and actor Giedrius Arbačiauskas.

The program will feature original songs by Povilas Keblikas, as well as memories of once-performed ethno songs and works arranged by him and performed by the “Home Music-Making Group,” led by Keblikas.

Povilas Keblikas, long-time concertmaster and musical director of the State Youth Theatre, passed away in 2013, leaving behind a rich musical legacy. In 2025, “Bardai LT” released a three-album collection titled “From the Musical World of Povilas Keblikas”.

Keblikas dedicated more than 50 years to the Youth Theatre and its music. He was involved in virtually every production requiring even the smallest musical part, working with extraordinary dedication as composer, arranger, conductor, and performer. Thanks to him, the Youth Theatre became known as a “singing theatre,” with ensembles such as the “Home Music-Making Group” and “Be grimo” delighting Lithuanian audiences for decades.

The audience will have the rare opportunity to hear a one-time reunion of the “Home Music-Making Group.”

An evening with theatre legends and meaningful music, featuring works by maestro Povilas Keblikas, is presented by “Bardai LT.” CDs will be available during the concert.
