Ukrainian Quartet DakhaBrakha to Perform in Vilnius on December 8

On December 8, the iconic Ukrainian quartet DakhaBrakha will perform at Kablys club in Vilnius. The band is well known to Lithuanian audiences, having performed in the country several times before. This time, they return with new music. In Vilnius, DakhaBrakha will present their latest album, Ptakh, inspired by Ukraine’s resistance, strength and freedom.

Formed at Kyiv’s experimental Dakh Theatre, DakhaBrakha has become one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Ukrainian culture. Combining authentic Ukrainian folk songs with rhythms and instruments from different cultures around the world, the band has performed at major international festivals, including Glastonbury, Sziget, Pohoda, Bonnaroo, Roskilde and GlobalFEST, and has toured from Mexico to South Korea.

The creation of DakhaBrakha’s new album, Ptakh (“Bird”), took several years. The songs were inspired by Ukraine’s resistance, the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian people, and the support they have received from people around the world. The bird becomes a symbol of freedom and Ukraine’s powerful voice throughout the album. Ptakh is now available on all major music streaming platforms.

On December 8, DakhaBrakha will once again remind audiences at Kablys club in Vilnius why their music is best experienced live.
