WAITING FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON – A SPECIAL “DADDY WAS A MILKMAN” ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE IN VILNIUS

On December 8, the LVSO Concert Hall in Vilnius will host an exceptional acoustic evening. Taking the stage will be “Daddy Was A Milkman” creator Ignas Pociūnas and his friend, Latvian guitarist Gints Smukais. Taking place just before the most beautiful festive season of the year, the concert will mark a special finale to their shared musical journey. The duo’s distinctive musical project has already won the affection of audiences in Lithuania and Latvia over the past several years.

“The LVSO Concert Hall is one of the most beautiful and impressive venues in Lithuania, ideally suited for an acoustic performance like this. This occasion is truly special for us: we are planning to take a break from the joint concerts we have been organising in Lithuania and Latvia, so this will be one of the last opportunities to see me on stage together with my good friend Gints Smukais,” says “Daddy Was A Milkman”.

For the festive evening, the performers are preparing a special programme featuring audience favourites as well as new compositions. According to the artist, the decision to hold a grand final concert in Vilnius was also encouraged by the exceptional audience response to last year’s performances.

“Last year, both of our concerts at St Catherine’s Church were sold out. We felt that we could have held a third or even fourth evening, but we decided to save the special finale of this chapter for the end of the year and hold it just before the most beautiful festive season,” the artist says.
