Jonas Vozbutas is an accordionist whose musical journey has already taken him to various stages across Europe. He has performed at the Berlin Philharmonic, the Rouen Opera House, and the Singer-Polignac Foundation in Paris, and has played on the French national radio station France Musique. Today, Jonas lives in Paris and is studying at the city’s National Conservatory of Music and Dance.
For the “Portrait” program, Jonas has put together a selection of music that is meaningful to him and reflects his roots, life, studies in Paris, and the diverse musical traditions the young performer encounters. Alongside music inspired by Lithuanian folklore, the program features works by G. Frescobaldi, D. Scarlatti, J. S. Bach, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Joseph-Nicolas-Pancrace Royer, J. Brahms, F. Chopin, G. Ligeti, N. Kapustin, G. Aperghis, and M. Richter.

About the Artist:
Jonas Vozbutas is a Lithuanian accordionist of the younger generation who has earned widespread international recognition. In 2025, he won the International Accordion Competition in Vilnius and the “Arrasate Hiria” competition in Spain, considered one of the most prestigious in the field. J. Vozbutas actively performs in many European countries, the U.S., and Canada. His resume includes performances at the Berlin Philharmonic, the Rouen Opera House, the Singer-Polignac Foundation in Paris, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic.
