“DIALOGUES WITH ČIURLIONIS” | JUSTAS ŠERVENIKAS AND JOHAN RANDVERE

The concert series “Dialogues with Čiurlionis” continues. At the second concert of this season, pianists Justas Šervenikas (Lithuania) and Johan Randvere (Estonia) will meet at the piano. They have been performing together as a piano duo since 2019.

The concert programme will feature:

Ludwig van Beethoven – Sonata in D major, Op. 6
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Sonata in F major, K. 497
Franz Schubert – Rondo in A major, D. 951
Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis – symphonic poem In the Forest

Justas Šervenikas has been actively performing since 2006. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic, Kaunas Philharmonic and Klaipėda Concert Hall, as well as in various European countries and Mexico. The pianist has performed with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the LMTA Symphony Orchestra, the San Luis Potosí City Symphony Orchestra, the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra and “Skipton Camerata”. His stage partners have included tenor Marcel Beekman, violinist Philippe Graffin and pianist Petras Geniušas.

Johan Randvere is a laureate of numerous international competitions and has performed in concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York and La Sala Puccini in Milan. As a soloist, he has performed with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra and other ensembles. The pianist performs in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Vatican City, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Canada and the United States.

Justas Šervenikas and Johan Randvere have been performing together as a piano duo since 2019, presenting several new programmes to audiences every year.


Over its seven years, “Dialogues with Čiurlionis” has become an integral part of the cultural programme of the M. K. Čiurlionis House. The aim of the series is to encourage international pianists to include Čiurlionis’ works in their concert repertoires and present them in their own countries and in various parts of the world. Thanks to this series, M. K. Čiurlionis’ music has already been performed in Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and other countries.
