yokauyu to Perform at Estrãda on November 5!

yokauyu is a DIY (do-it-yourself) creative project by Martynas Džiugas Stanevičius. Džiugas, previously best known as a member of the band Timid Kooky, is a multidisciplinary artist.

Džiugas creates guided by visions that take shape through melodies, songwriting and arrangements, poetry, studio recordings, sound processing, digital visuals, painting, photography and cinematography.

Although the project is built around bringing one person’s vision to life, teamwork, a positive atmosphere and good company are an integral part of it. That is why Džiugas is joined on stage by such legends of the Lithuanian music scene as Jonas Litvinas, Pijus Grudė, Liudas Vervečka, Rytis Žvinklys and Joris Dabkus.

Expect 1970s-inspired nostalgia, melodic vocal parts, Lithuanian lyrics and influences from college rock, stoner rock and California punk.
