The concert series “Dialogues with Čiurlionis” continues. On November 5 at 18:00, pianist Anastasija Šumskaitė will perform at the M. K. Čiurlionis House.
The concert programme will feature:

Anastasija Šumskaitė is a laureate of more than 20 international piano competitions. Among the pianist’s achievements are the Grand Prix and concert prizes at the international piano competition “Music Without Borders”, a diploma at the international Stasys Vainiūnas Competition, second prize at the international P. Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Pianists, and second place and the Audience Prize at the “Lisztophonia” competition under the patronage of Prof. Muza Rubackytė.
The pianist has performed in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Finland, France, Italy, Poland, Estonia and Germany. Her recent performances include concerts at the Joseph Achron Music Festival, solo recitals in the Netherlands, and performances with various chamber music ensembles and soloists. In Lithuania, A. Šumskaitė has appeared as a soloist at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic, Kaunas Philharmonic, and concert halls in Klaipėda and Šiauliai.
Born into a family of musicians in Vilnius, the pianist began studying at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts at the age of six and completed her bachelor’s studies in the class of Prof. Petras Geniušas. Anastasija has also furthered her skills in masterclasses with renowned pianists including Anna Malikova, Muza Rubackytė, Lukas Geniušas, Dmitry Levkovich, Andrius Žlabys and others.
Over its seven years, “Dialogues with Čiurlionis” has become an integral part of the cultural programme of the M. K. Čiurlionis House. The aim of the series is to encourage pianists to include Čiurlionis’ works in their concert repertoires and present them in their own countries and in various parts of the world. Thanks to this series, M. K. Čiurlionis’ music has already been performed in Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and other countries.
