“The Magic Paint Brush”: Concert by the Lithuanian National Youth Choir

An old Chinese tale tells of a magic paintbrush whose drawings would come to life when touched – birds would take flight, rivers would begin to flow, and everything born in the imagination would take on a real form. In the Lithuanian National Youth Choir’s programme “The Magic Paint Brush,” a similar transformation is created by the human voice – it paints soundscapes, tells stories and opens the door to different musical worlds.

The concert, taking place at Sapiegos Palace on October 24 at 20:00, will mark the end of the Lithuanian National Youth Choir’s 2026 season. At the heart of the programme will be “The Magic Paint Brush” by Danish composer John Høybye, based on an ancient Chinese tale.
