“The White Dance”

On this autumn evening, two muses — Ilze and Tatjana — invite you to the concert  “The White Dance” 

This concert marks the premiere of a new programme, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in music born of love for a woman. Love is a magnificent force that has inspired artists, poets and composers to create immortal masterpieces.

At the heart of the concert is woman: her strength and vulnerability, her depth and mystery, her ability to inspire, awaken and lead others onward — the woman for whom great deeds are done, art is created and music is made.

Names and destinies intertwine on stage: Clara and Elise, Scheherazade and Carmen, Thaïs and Maria — and, of course, Ilze and Tatjana.

From tender lyricism to passionate dances, from radiant love to dramatic emotion, each piece becomes part of one great dance.

“The White Dance” is more than a title; it is a symbol: a dance in which the woman makes the choice, a dance in which everything begins with her.

Performers:

Ilze Kirsanova is a violinist with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and a chamber musician who performs in various ensembles alongside Latvia’s leading musicians. Since 2017, she has appeared as a guest artist with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and the Nordic Symphony Orchestra.

Tatjana Čigorskaja is a pianist, collaborative pianist, teacher and arranger, as well as the creator of lectures and educational courses for children.

The programme features celebrated works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Fritz Kreisler, Camille Saint-Saëns, Astor Piazzolla and, of course, Raimonds Pauls.
