MUSIC THAT LETS YOU PRESS PAUSE
About event

Sometimes the best thing you can do after a long day is simply stop. Forget about deadlines, turn off your phone and escape the noise of everyday life, even if only for a moment.

The St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra and percussionist Sigitas Gailius invite you to an evening where the emotions of contemporary classical music meet unexpected musical colours.

At the heart of the programme is Max Richter’s On the Nature of Daylight, which has become an icon of contemporary classical music and has been featured in famous films. Alongside it, audiences will hear the colourful music of Takashi Yoshimatsu, the energetic rhythms of Danny Seidenberg, the meditative sounds of Krystian Skubała and the luminous harmonies of Georgs Pelēcis.

One performer – several different sounds. The marimba, vibraphone and percussion, together with the string orchestra, will create an atmosphere where tenderness, rhythm and energy intertwine.

This is a concert where you don’t need to know anything about classical music. All you need to do is allow yourself to feel.

On October 22, press pause and immerse yourself in music that lets you slow down time.
