GIEDRIUS NAKAS Sings
Giedrius Nakas is known to many as a pianist who has been performing for the past 15 years with some of Lithuania’s most famous bands and artists, including Saulės Kliošas, Andrius Mamontovas, Jurga, Kamanių Šilelis, Mantas Jankavičius, ba., Šv. Bankuchenas and Lietuvos balsas, among others.
He has also made a name for himself as one of the leading modern jazz pianists and as a composer, having recorded three albums of his original music in New York, Riga and Groningen.
In 2020, he released his vocal album Burtai, featuring his distinctively “American-style” Lithuanian soul, R&B and pop songs – emotional, intimate and harmonious.
You can hear this programme, enriched with new compositions and several favourite covers, on November 19 at Downtown Piano Lab!
The Dainykla project is partially funded by Vilnius City Municipality.
