About event

There are voices that you recognize from the first phrase. The warm, expressive and full of emotional power of Daiva Starinskaitė’s voice is one of them.

“Daiva Starinskaitė: Acoustic Night” is a cozy and lively musical evening, in which one of the brightest Lithuanian soul, R&B, hip-hop and jazz vocalists will reveal herself with a very close, organic sound. Without excessive effects – only voice, live instruments, strong emotions and music, allowing you to hear every color of the performer’s voice.

Daiva Starinskaitė is well known to listeners as the former vocalist and songwriter of the band “Saulės Kliošas” and the electronic soul band “Keymono”. The performer studied at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and the National Conservatory of Paris, performed on various European stages, and when she was just twenty, she was noticed by the legendary US trumpeter Ted Curson – together with him she recorded a live album at the Paris jazz club “Sunset-Sunside”.

Having developed her musical career in London for many years, the performer today brings to the stage not only impressive experience, but also a mature, very personal creative vision. Soul, jazz, R&B, hip-hop and subtle influences of electronic music naturally meet in her music, and the voice becomes an equal instrument – sometimes gentle and vulnerable, sometimes powerful and difficult to tame.

“Acoustic Night” is an opportunity to hear Daiva closer than usual: sincere, open and not afraid to improvise. The evening will feature an intimate acoustic sound, unexpected musical interpretations and a real connection between the performer and the audience.

This is not just a concert – it is an evening for those who seek authenticity, live emotion and a voice in music that can tell more than words.

The choir project is partly funded by the Vilnius City Municipality.
