About event

What is VoiCircle?
A space where we create music together! Our instruments are the voice, body, rhythm and imagination.

Where does it come from?
VoiCircle is inspired by Circle Singing, a group music-making format developed and popularised by Bobby McFerrin in the late 1980s.

How does it work?
Circle singing is an improvised group vocal practice where participants build layered music using repeating vocal loops. Guided by a facilitator who invents patterns on the spot and conducts the flow, the group creates rich harmonic pieces in real time.

How a VoiCircle session works?
We always start with ice-breakers, musical games, and playful exercises using voice warm-ups, body percussion, and polyphonic singing. Then we move on to my original compositions, covers of famous songs, and improvisations.

Do you need musical experience?
Not at all. You don’t need to know how to sing or read music. It’s a judgment-free space where all you need is a curiosity.

What do I believe in?
I believe music should be accessible to everyone regardless of experience or skill. You don’t have to be a musician to make music together.
