Italian temperament, the freedom of improvisation and outstanding musical mastery come together in the work of Renzo Ruggieri, one of the most prominent contemporary jazz accordionists. The internationally acclaimed Italian accordionist, composer and educator will present a jazz project in Vilnius alongside renowned Lithuanian jazz musicians: pianist Dmitrij Golovanov, double bassist Aliaksei Kryshtal and drummer Augustas Baronas.

Renzo Ruggieri is an artist with a distinctive creative voice, whose music combines jazz tradition with contemporary forms of improvisation, harmonic experimentation and the expressive character of Italian music. His virtuosic technique, subtle musical sensitivity and unique approach to the accordion’s sound allow him to move freely between different musical styles while retaining a strong individual identity.

His career is remarkable, encompassing more than 2,000 concerts worldwide and performances at prestigious venues, including the Verona Arena, the Shanghai Grand Theatre and the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. His discography and creative legacy include more than a hundred musical releases, recordings, compositions and educational works.

This international jazz project will bring together the individual artistic styles, diverse musical experiences and improvisational mastery of four professional musicians.
