The group has performed the concert version of this programme on theatre and music stages around 150 times. This time, however, Graži ir ta galinga invites audiences to an intimate gathering where familiar songs and others yet to be heard will take on a new sound.

Five actresses and creators, just a few instruments and a wealth of voices belonging to women from Lithuanian history will come together in a unique performance at St Nicholas the Wonderworker Church.

What do a Renaissance beauty, a writer with a headscarf and an alluring woman from the interwar period have in common? For many years, all of them were labelled someone’s wives, mothers or witches. On February 12, they take to the stage to tell their stories and reveal what it means to be a woman in Lithuania.
