On November 30, 2026, at 19:00, two generations, two creative collaborations and one shared family name – Arbačiauskai – will meet on the stage of St. Catherine’s Church.
Giedrius, Agnė, Jonas, Nojus and Marius have joined their musical forces into one family ensemble and promise to surprise the audience with their creativity.
Actor Giedrius Arbačiauskas has been on stage for more than 30 years. Song poetry is a much-loved and deeply personal part of Giedrius’ creative life. He writes his own songs, inspired by the poetry of beloved modern Lithuanian poets. Sometimes a poem itself sounds like a song, while at other times he searches for words to accompany a melody.
Since 2007, Giedrius and Agnė have performed together as a stage duo. The sound of the cello enriches the guitar, filling the space and creating a beautiful ensemble alongside Giedrius’ voice. Having created a musical-literary programme, they perform in many Lithuanian cities and appear at various events and festivals.
Their son Nojus follows in his parents’ footsteps. Music and original songwriting are part of his life; he plays the piano, sings and has graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Jonas and Nojus have created their own programme featuring their original songs. In July 2026, they took part in the Young Bards Camp, where they deepened their creative knowledge.
Marius, who has formed his own band, has been inseparable from his bass guitar since the age of 15 and performs at various events and concerts.
The creativity of the younger family members has greatly enriched Giedrius and Agnė’s duo with new ideas, instrumental colours and youthful energy.
This family ensemble performed together for the first time at the Purpurinis vakaras festival in 2024. This year, they also took part in the Akacijų Alėja bard festival, where they received a warm response and much appreciation from the audience.
During the darkest time of the year, the good music experts „Bardai LT“ invite you to meet ArbaČia, gather some light and fill your soul with the magic of song poetry.
