Rhapsody in Blue. An Evening of George Gershwin’s Music. Pianist DARIUS MAŽINTAS
About event

Some concerts become cherished traditions—events people look forward to returning to at the end of each year. Moments to pause, take a deep breath, and let music accompany the transition into a new year.

This year, pianist Darius Mažintas’ now traditional year-end recital is dedicated to one of the most influential composers of the 20th century—George Gershwin. The programme features the legendary Rhapsody in Blue and a Suite from the opera Porgy and Bess—music where classical elegance meets the freedom of jazz and the brilliance of Broadway.

For one special evening, the historic hall of the Adomas Mickevičius Public Library will transform into an intimate musical setting, allowing every listener to experience the expressive sound of the piano from up close. To preserve the unique atmosphere and ensure the comfort of every guest, the audience size has been intentionally limited.

This is an evening for those who value quality over haste, meaningful experiences over distraction, and music that lingers long after the final note.

A ticket to this concert can become one of the most thoughtful Christmas gifts—a memorable experience that inspires, brings warmth, and remains with us far longer than any material present.
