The creators of the musical performance “Pelėda Drūlija” are delighted to announce that this December, the adventures of the little owl will continue with a third season.
Drūlija is a curious, playful character well known to young audiences and their parents. In the first two parts of the series, she learned patience and the importance of rest, making friends with the so-called “yawn creatures.” What new discoveries await her this time?
The character originates from children’s stories by writer Inga Narijauskienė and gained even greater popularity when the ensemble Ansamblis Lietuva adapted her adventures into a musical theatre production. Growing audience appreciation and positive feedback confirmed that Drūlija’s story deserves to continue.
In the third part, familiar characters will return: the squirrel Umba, duck Magagas, frog Pompocė, elephant Taputapas, woodpeckers, and little flies. The forest adventures will be accompanied by distinctly Lithuanian musical sounds, featuring traditional instruments such as the birbynė, kanklės, lumzdelis, and skrabalai. The performance also incorporates traditional Lithuanian games and a strong connection to nature.
According to the creators, the goal is to introduce children to national musical heritage through engaging storytelling and educational experiences, helping develop cultural identity and imagination in a playful and meaningful way.
