The “Jazz’n’Vilnius” concert series presents: Guitar virtuoso Greg Howe to perform in Lithuania for the first time

Internationally acclaimed guitar virtuoso Greg Howe is returning to Europe in 2027 and will visit Lithuania for the first time! On this European tour, he will perform with an exceptional lineup of musicians: legendary drummer Dennis Chambers, bassist Jon Reshard and keyboardist Marco Corcione will join him on stage. This powerful new concert lineup will allow G. Howe’s music to be presented in a completely new way. Their only concert in Lithuania will take place on May 8, 2027 (Saturday) at the “Tamsta” club in Vilnius.

The main focus of the tour is the album “Extraction”, which became a significant result of the collaboration between G. Howe, D. Chambers and Victor Wooten. Released in 2003, the album brought three exceptional musicians together for an impressive instrumental fusion recording that is still considered one of the genre’s most important works. Despite the album’s enormous popularity and influence, the material from “Extraction” has never been presented on a concert tour. Therefore, the “Greg Howe Extraction European Tour 2027” with drummer D. Chambers will be the first opportunity for audiences to hear much of this exceptional music live.

Fans can expect the tour to draw on the rich musical legacy of “Extraction” and feature favourites such as “Lucky Seven,” “Bird’s Eye View” and “Proto Cosmos.” The programme will also include the album’s title track, “Extraction,” as well as other pieces featured on the album that have never previously been performed live. They will be complemented by Greg Howe’s most prominent compositions, such as “Jump Start” and “Kick It All Over.”

With keyboardist Marco Corcione joining the lineup, and with the distinctive musical styles of Dennis Chambers and Jon Reshard, familiar compositions will take on new colours and open up broader possibilities for exploring them through more diverse harmonic and improvisational approaches.
