In 2026, “An Hour with RATILIO” returns – an open session series inviting the Vilnius University community to briefly step away from academic routines and immerse themselves in live Lithuanian folklore alongside the RATILIO ensemble.
Spring sessions will feature feast songs, songs for beloved mothers, and a closer exploration of song treasures collected by Liudvikas Rėza. In autumn, the Great Hall will resonate with romances, the lullaby sounds of the kanklės, and the lively steps of participants dancing in circles and traditional dances. The cycle begins and ends with calendar festivals – celebrating Užgavėnės and Advent-Christmas folklore.
Join us in the Great Hall of Vilnius University, in a shared circle led by RATILIO members and all participating guests!
