Andrius Kaniava. Theatrical Concert “Night in the Theatre”

On December 13, 2026, at 18:00, the Church of St. Catherine in Vilnius will host a special theatrical concert “Naktis teatre” (Night in the Theatre) performed by Andrius Kaniava together with a live band.

The performance is a musical journey through nearly a quarter of a century of stage work — from “Aukštyn kojom” to “Brėmeno muzikantai”. These are songs and compositions that the artist encountered throughout his life as a child, student, and actor, many of which never had the chance to be performed under the stage lights, yet carry strong dramaturgical energy and continue to “demand” to be heard.

The concept of the concert is rooted in the idea of the theatre at night — when the stage is empty, yet still alive with echoes of past performances. It is imagined as a space where music, memory, and theatre merge, and where voices from past productions and artistic eras symbolically return.

The program includes music from well-known musicals and productions such as “Meilė ir mirtis Veronoje”, “Ugnies medžioklė su varovais”, “Amžinas geismas”, and “Aukštyn kojom”, as well as works inspired by Andrius Kulikauskas, Tom Waits, and 4 Non Blondes.

On stage, Andrius Kaniava will be joined by a live ensemble of musicians and vocalists, creating an atmospheric and theatrical winter concert experience blending music, memory, and stage storytelling.
